English:
The Haitian American Apostolate, now functioning under the Office of Multicultural Diversity,
was established over thirty years ago, to respond to the needs of Haitian American Catholics
living on Long Island. The mission of the apostolate is to ensure the evangelization of Haitian
Americans on Long Island while also working toward their integration in the life of the church
within parish and diocesan levels. As per Vatican II, the Haitian American Catholic Community
enjoys worship in their native language and is able to share their culture as a gift to the church.
